In a recent interview with Alphabet CEO, Sundar Pichai, he affirmed that the Google Pixel 6 series has set a new quarterly sales record. He said this at Alphabet’s fourth-quarter 2021 earnings conference call. Sundar Pichai said that despite significant supply chain challenges created by the chip industry shortages, in the last quarter of 2021, the device set a quarterly sales record.

The Google Pixel 6 series was released to the markets in the second half of 2021. The tag price was set at USD 599 while the Pixel 6 Pro started at USD 899. The two models are pre-install the Android 12 OS. This device had its share of bugs such as the gourd screen, slow fingerprint unlocking, ghost dialing, signal loss, call interruption, and so on.

It is kind of hard to believe that a USD 899 flagship with so many issues has performed well in the market.

The Pixel 6 series has faced many issues since its official launch. The company has recently released December the latest update for this series. This update continued to create some issues such as network signal loss problems. According to reports, users in Germany, France, Belgium, Spain, and other countries reported that their devices experienced obvious network signal loss problems since the December update. The Pixel 6 series couldn’t connect to the data network, and even make calls.

According to these reports the Pixel 6 series losses signal for no reason. According to reports, while using the device it will have no signal and take a couple of minutes to connect to the Internet. Users can use it after restarting the smartphone but this is not a permanent solution.

Another issue users complained about is that the new Pixel devices won’t charge when used with third-party chargers and cables. This is believed to be caused by the use of non-USB Power Delivery certified cables and adapters to charge the Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro. Google blames it on the low-quality of accessories that were in use.

This series has also had issues such as slow fingerprint unlocking, automatic dialing, the automatic rotation of the screen ad other bugs. One will ask is there any QA at the manufacturer at all?.

However, it is important to clarify that Google has since then fixed most of these bugs.
