A new leaked picture of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra suggests that the awaited device will not be as much of an upgrade as expected. Regrettably, earlier reports claim that the S22 Ultra will be a feature-laden smartphone.

On a report last month it was said that the phone will be a major upgrade over its predecessor sporting the brightest screen yet. The Galaxy S22 series is set to launch in 2022 featuring three models. These will include the S22 Ultra, S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 smartphones. Considering that the previous  S21 series went official in January, we can expect that the Galaxy S22 series could go official after just two months from now. However, a new leak suggests that there will be nothing much to expect about.

Undoubtedly we have many  Samsung fans trying to get their hands on the Galaxy new  S22 Ultra will get a huge disappointment. From the leaked reports we see the presence of a huge 200MP camera on the device. According to the leak, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will house a camera setup similar to the existing Galaxy S21 Ultra. It is also rumored that the S22 Ultra will come with an upgraded version of the 108MP Isocell HM3 sensor, which is currently available on the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Aside from that, the rear-mounted camera setup will remain the same.

The meaning of this is that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x, and another 10MP camera with 10x zoom. The only improvement seems to be in the telephoto cameras of the upcoming flagship. These telephoto cameras will reportedly feature the new Sony 1/3.52” sensors. According to Ice Universe, the pixels of the new sensors are slightly smaller compared to the previous versions that delivered 1.12μm Vs 1.22μm where smaller pixels usually deliver lower image quality.

Other expected changes could be a one-degree increase on the 3x and 10x zoom lenses, the main lens field of view seemingly changes in the other direction. For instance, it could go from S21 Ultra’s 83 degrees to offering 85 degrees on the S22 Ultra. However, this change will probably not make any difference.
