LENOVO LEGION Y90 IS THE ULTIMATE POWERHOUSE FOR GAMERS
The manufacturer teased with a short video about the device online, showing its design. The smartphone has an aggressive and strong appearance, which gives it a solution for gamers with some visible ventilation holes for heat dissipation.
The Lenovo Legion Y90 will have a 6.92-inch Samsung E-4 AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a touch response rate of 720 Hz, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 platform, up to 18 GB of RAM, and a flash drive of up to 512 GB. They promise the function of the virtual expansion of RAM by 4 GB.
The Lenovo Legion Y90 will have retractable triggers, a linear vibration motor, a USB Type-C port, and a 5500 mAh battery with 68W fast charging. The device comes with a cooling system, to remove heat. Rumor says that after half an hour of playing “Call of Duty” at maximum graphics settings, the case heats up almost to 40º C and the average frame rate is 119.8.
The Lenovo Legion Y90 will be the first Snapdragon 8 Gen1 smartphone to achieve the ultimate performance of the Snapdragon 8 Gen1, the Legion Y90 will use an air-cooled cooling system. Lenovo previously used a dual turbofan liquid-cooled active and passive heat dissipation system causing a rapid heating reduction from the middle to all sides.
Mobile gaming has been a major trend for several years. However, only a few selected manufacturers have been making products for this niche. Players such as Black Shark (Xiaomi), ROG (ASUS), and Red Magic (ZTE, Nubia).
Lenovo Legion Phone Duel series didn’t succeed in the past but the company is not giving up. Hopefully, the arrival of the Lenovo Legion Y90 will be a new and successful incursion for the Chinese manufacturer.
