zte's Nubia recently unveiled its new series of smartphones for the gaming segment named the red magic 7 series. Next, the company is planning to introduce a new line of “conventional” flagship devices under the Nubia Z40 series. The company keeps teasing the public with pictures and leaks about smartphones to keep the hype alive for them. The Nubia Z40 Pro certainly stands against the competition and today, the company confirmed that the Nubia Z40 Pro will be the first device to boot into MyOS 12. The OS will also be present on all ZTE smartphones, and it's based on the android 12 OS.
The new MyOS 12 arrives with some new features on the UI, animations, and security. The leaked teaser post on Weibo mentioned “Personalized Desktop + Climber Lock Screen + Lingxi Motion Engine + Privacy Protection” as some of the new features. The second teaser posted by the company also teases MyOS 12 with a “breakthrough in the full-screen experience” however we do not know exactly what that means.
ZTE is teasing the Nubia Z40 Pro as the “new flagship of humanistic imaging”. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. As a result of this, we can expect a performance similar to other flagships such as the xiaomi 12 and the realme GT 2 Pro. But, Nubia is bringing some extra optimizations to make the performance outstanding. The company is also focusing its improvements in the camera department. One of the handset's highlights is the 35 mm humanistic lens.
On the design, the Nubia Z40 Pro has a curved screen upfront with a center-aligned punch hole. The back front has a large camera module at the back. The module boasts a triple-camera setup and will arrive in two colors Black and White. The downside is that the smartphone will not bring a charging adapter, so users will have to buy the charger compatible with 135W charging separately.
