Last month OPPO released two budget 4G smartphones the OPPO A54 and OPPO A74. These devices first landed in South East Asia markets and even got 5G support. Today, these devices were announced in the European market. OPPO is betting on them to be bestsellers.
Both models come with a Snapdragon 480 processor, support 5G, and use fingerprint recognition. It also arrives with an octa-core chip coming with two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. There are also six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. For graphics-intensive tasks, the chipset integrates an Adreno 619 GPU. The chip also features the Snapdragon X51 5G modem offering a download speed of up to 2.1 Gbps.
The OPPO A54 5G and the OPPO A74 5G have a 6.5-inch FHD+ full-screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. They use an LCD screen. The device has a 5000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. On the camera front, the main sensor has a 48MP resolution. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth of field and a telephoto lens. The quad-camera provides an incredible shooting performance. We should remember these are budget phones. The front camera has a 16MP resolution, and it uses a design with a hole in the upper left corner.
The size and configuration of both devices are very similar, but the storage is different. The OPPO A54 5G has a 4GB+128GB storage combination, while the OPPO A74 5G has a 6GB+128GB storage combination.
