The new Oppo Fold foldable smartphone will be powered by a robust battery supporting 65W fast charging. Lately, Oppo has been hard working on its first foldable smartphone. Earlier this year, the company released a concept phone named the Oppo X 2021, which used a rollable and slidable screen.
The key specifications of the foldable phone were leaked online earlier this month.
According to them, the Oppo Fold will offer 65W fast charging support with a 4,500 mAh battery offering a long battery life.
The device will harbor an enormous 8-inch display with an AMOLED panel but delivering only a 2K resolution. The display will be offering a high refresh rate of 120Hz and will be powered by the latest Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC under the hood. It will ship with 12GB of RAM and offer 256GB and 512GB of onboard storage capacity.
In the camera department, the phone will have a 50MP Sony IMX766 camera. The Find X3 Pro and the latest flagship smartphone from OnePlus use the same sensor. Upfront, the Oppo foldable phone could have a 32MP shooter for selfies and video calling. It is not determined yet if the Oppo will use an under-screen camera system for its foldable device. Anyway, the side edge will house a fingerprint scanner. The phone will run Android 11 OS out of the box with ColorOS 12 atop.
