Counterpoint Technological Market research just revealed last week the top ten best-selling smartphones in 2021. Seven of the top ten are Apple iPhones, with the sweeping the top five spots. According to Counterpoint, there will be over 4,200 smartphone models on the market in 2021. The top ten best-selling smartphones accounted for 19% of total worldwide smartphone sales in 2021, up from 16% in 2020. The iPhone 12 was the best-selling model, followed by the iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 11.

The first three models account for 41% of Apple’s overall sales. The most recent 13 series did well, with the iPhone 13 being the best-selling model in the fourth quarter of 2021, followed by the iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro.

The only non-iPhones on the list are Samsung and Xiaomi

While Apple tops the list, Samsung enters the sixth position in 2021 with the Galaxy A12. Throughout the year, A12 was in high demand in almost all areas and nations. Its primary markets are North America, Latin America, and Western Europe.

Xiaomi takes the last two non-Apple places, with the Redmi 9A and Redmi 9. These smartphones account for 22% of the company’s overall sales. Xiaomi is performing well in every market. Its primary markets include China, India, and the Asia Pacific region. In these price-sensitive markets, where its entry-level lineup is battling component shortages, Xiaomi has produced inexpensive models such as the Redmi 9A and 9.
