On January 14 Samsung will be announcing the latest Galaxy S21 smartphone series. After many leaks and rumors in the last couple of months we know almost everything on what can we expect about this new flagship smartphone. Today, a new leak has revealed the entire specs of the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Just like in the previous version, the Galaxy S21 Ultra will be the high-end offering of the S21 series.
The specifications of the new Galaxy S21 Ultra are courtesy of Roland Quandt from Winfuture.de. Roland has been also responsible for the previous leaks of renders revealing the design of the three handsets. The new Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will feature a glass and metal design like on previous premium devices. The display will be a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, the same as on the Note20.
SAMSUNG GALAXY S20 ULTRA SPECIFICATIONS
The Galaxy Note 20 possesses a 6.8-inch Infinity-O-Edge Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, with a high WQHD+ resolution ( 3,200 x 1,440 pixels resulting in an amazing 515 pixels-per-inch) and with a panel of 1,600 nits peak brightness. Its adaptive refresh rate can go from 1 to 120Hz refresh rate, something that will stay exclusive to the S20 Ultra. The panel supports S-Pen Stylus, but unlike the Note20 we can not fit it inside the carcass but in a silicone base cover.
The new smartphone will be powered by an Exynos 2100 chipset with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of Internal Storage. Samsung’s S-21 high-offering in the 5nm chipset d sitting above the Exynos 1080. This chipset will be present in the largest part of smartphones, but the US variant will come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset.
A CAMERA POWERHOUSE
At the camera department, it is a real powerhouse, it will feature a primary 108MP wide-angle camera with f/1.8, 24mm, OIS, and Auto-Focus and have a secondary 12MP ultra-wide angle lens camera, with an f/2.2 aperture, if that wasn’t enough there will be a third telephoto sensor with a 10MP resolution offering 3x optical zoom and, finally, a fourth 10MP telephoto lens with 10x optical zoom. It is completed with PDAF, Laser AF, and LED flash. On the front, there is a 40MP camera with f/2.2 aperture, 25mm, and Auto-Focus.
Regarding connectivity, the S21 will include dual-SIM + eSIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GNSS, NFC, and use a USB Type-C port. It will receive power from a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired fast-charging support. Other features include Stereo Speakers, IP68 dust, and water resistance. The device comes with ANT+, Samsung Knox, DeX, and One UI 3.1 OS Android on Android 11. The Galaxy S20 Ultra will come in two colorways – Phantom Black and Phantom Silver.
Measurements will be 165.1 x 75.6 x 8.9 mm, will weigh 228 grams, and will start a relatively high starting price of USD 1500.
