XIAOMI TO RELEASE THE FLAGSHIP DIMENSITY 9000 IN THE REDMI K50 SERIES
For the past few days, we’ve been hearing lots of news about the Redmi K50 series, and a few leaks were released online showing the possible appearance of the devices. This brought the manufacturer itself to release an official communique to clarify which hardware and platform one of the series models will receive.
DIMENSITY 9000 IN THE REDMI K50 CONFIRMED
In an AMA at the Weibo Social Network the CEO of Xiaomi was asked if any of the Redmi devices will get the new Dimensity 9000 processor. The CEO confirmed and said that such a model will be released as part of the Redmi K50 series. He did not bring any other specifics on which device will receive it but it is estimated that it will be either the Redmi K50 Pro or Redmi K50 Pro +.
Other online leaks report that the Dimensity 9000 chipset indeed will probably be installed in one of the members of the Redmi K50 series. Other features the leaker predicted are for the device to have fast charging with a power of 120 W, JBL stereo speakers with special tuning, and a linear vibration motor. The date of release for the new devices will probably be in March, and then we probably know when the rest of the Redmi K50 series will come out. about the series in the next few hours.
VIVO CONFIRMED DIMENSITY 9000 PROCESSOR ON ITS FLAGSHIP DEVICE
Another manufacturer to confirm the use of the new Dimensity 9000 processor is Vivo. It will use the Dimensity 9000 processor which was developed by MediaTek. The chip has eight processing cores with one high-performance Cortex-X2 working at 3.05 GHz; three Cortex-A710 working up to 2.85 GHz and another four energy-efficient Cortex-A510 working at 1.8 GHz. The chip is also fully integrated with an Arm Mali-G710 accelerator and a 5G modem.
Vivo confirmed that the device will receive an amazing 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and have a UFS 3.1 flash drive with a capacity of 256 and up to 512GB.
The device will have a display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. and will get Android 12 as the operating platform. At this stage, we do not have any reference on the camera department however knowing the previous Vivo release we do not expect to be disappointed.
MEDIATEK RELEASES DIMENSITY 9000 ON OPPO FIND X5 SERIES
A couple of years ago, MediaTek lost its edge in the flagship segment due to its poor performance in the flagships device niche and the fact that it couldn’t really compete in performance with Qualcomm offerings. The company reorganized its strategies and made a comeback with the amazing Dimensity series. In 2021, the company decided to give a further step into the flagship segment with the release of the Dimensity 1200 SoC. With a 6 nm processor and was one of the most used chips in the industry due to its attractive price for cost-effective flagship smartphones. Now in 2022, ack, MediaTek is ready to enter the flagship market with its improved Dimensity 9000and will make its debut with the upcoming Oppo Find X5 series.
MEDIATEK WENT AHEAD TO CONFIRM THE DIMENSITY 9000 ON OPPO FIND X5 SERIES
Oppo got an exclusive deal to launch this chipset with the Oppo Find X5 Pro Dimensity edition. This chipset is the only one in the industry made on TSMC’s 4 nm manufacturing process. Both Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200 are made in Samsung’s manufacturing process.
The Density 9000 may have advantages against its competitors though the device has the same architecture and core configuration as its two competitors. The chipset also brings an 18-bit ISP, support for Bluetooth 5.3, and more.
In addition, it is rumored that the Dimensity 9000 will also power many flagship devices throughout 2022. For example, Xiaomi is preparing a variant of the Redmi K50 with its handset. Realme and Vivo have also confirmed new smartphones with this chipset. For now, the only question we do not have an answer to yet is how much the smartphones with Dimensity 9000 will cost.
