Xiaomi’s partnership with Leica is confirmed

There have been several rumors that Xiaomi and Leica will collaborate to create a new generation of imaging flagships. The Xiaomi 12 Ultra might be the first smartphone to have the Xiaomi – Leica camera. The two parties’ collaboration has now been completed. Cellgazette discovered signs of Leica in the MIUI album source code earlier today. The MIUI album source code included Leica filters. This suggests that Xiaomi and Leica are now working together on a strategic level. According to sources, the MIUI album will have Leica lenses. Users can freely take photographs with a “German taste” with these filters.

According to the latest reports and earlier rumors, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra with “Leica taste” would be released in Q2 of this year. The smartphone is now part of the Leica imaging algorithm. It also supports 8K film master Leica video filters, as well as Leica natural color, black and white, and other filters.

Furthermore, the Xiaomi imaging flagship sports three cameras. The three cameras are a super-large bottom primary camera, an ultra-wide-angle camera, and a periscope telephoto camera. These cameras, or at least one of them, will include Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).

The previous generation imaging flagship Mi 11 Ultra formerly led the DXOMARK list, as we all know. With Xiaomi’s collaboration with Leica, imaging will enhance to a greater level. It is also possible that it will dominate the DxOMark rating.

Several rumors have circulated in recent months about the impending Xiaomi 12 Ultra. This smartphone will be the company’s top-of-the-line model, featuring top-of-the-line specs. According to sources, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will include a 6.7-inch QuadHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The LTPO not only minimizes power consumption but also intelligently adjusts the frame rate. Lower power usage has the advantage of extending battery life. In addition, the LTPO display has a minimum refresh rate of 1Hz.

There are also rumors that it will include a Sony flagship sensor in the camera. The primary camera should be a 50MP super-large bottom-mounted primary camera. A 48MP periscope telephoto lens and a 48MP ultra wide-angle camera should also be available. This flagship smartphone should also include a 5x periscope super-telephoto camera.

This device will be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and should include a 4500 mAh battery with 120Hz rapid charging capabilities. It can also accommodate up to 12 GB of RAM.
