The third beta version of Android 13 QPR is now available for Pixel smartphones

What you absolutely must be aware of:

The most recent beta version of Android 13 QPR2 has been made available by Google.

The security patch from January 2023 is still in place, despite the beta’s inclusion of a significant number of bug fixes and other improvements.

If you are engaged in the beta program and have a Pixel 4a or later model, you are eligible to receive the update.

Even though Samsung may be getting all the spotlight right now, Google is offering owners of Pixel devices something to look forward to with the recent release of the QPR2 Beta 3 version. This is the most recent upgrade to Android 13 that has been released in advance of the next Pixel feature drop, which will take place in March.

On February 1, the latest beta build started going out to Pixel smartphones that were qualified for it, which ranged from the Pixel 4a to the Pixel 7 series. According to the release notes, the update includes a comprehensive list of bug fixes and improvements, which addresses issues that were identified by both the developers and the users.

The following are some of the most important corrections that have been included in the new beta build:

  • We were able to fix an issue in which alerts contained within a notification group were occasionally presented with square corners rather than rounded corners. (Issue #264287776, Issue #265529116)
  • There was a problem that caused the message in the notification shade that signals an active VPN connection to overlap with the message about apps that have active foreground services. This has been fixed. (Issue #266075977)
  • There was a bug that prevented users from accessing the overflow menu when editing the Quick Settings tiles. This has been fixed. (Issue #263484657)
  • Fixed an issue that might result in a device having its vibrating feature enabled continuing to vibrate for an excessively long period of time after receiving a notice. (Issue #239676913)
  • Other changes address problems relating to the multiple Pixel Launcher and system crashes, misleading Bluetooth statuses, failed notifications from messaging apps, and a variety of other issues.
  • You are able to download the most recent beta version as of right now if you have a Google Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6 or 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, or Google Pixel 7 or 7 Pro. The build number has been updated to T2B3.230109.002, and it addresses a significant number of previously discovered errors.
  • On the page containing the release notes for this version of Android 13 Beta, Google merely states that the company is taking advantage of the current scenario with Quarterly Platform Releases (QPR) in order to upgrade the platform with bug fixes and other improvements. After that, they delve into the “top fixed issues” for this QPR2 Beta 3 build, which can be found in the following:
